Second Opinions

Second opinions are for people who want clarity when health decisions feel complex. This can include interpreting investigations, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations from the NHS, private providers, or from tests and opinions obtained overseas.

We are experienced in shared decision-making and will help you understand what the information means, what options are reasonable, and what to do next. Where it is helpful for your episode of care, we provide a written report you can share with your existing providers.

Appointments are delivered online by default. If you prefer to be seen in person, in-clinic appointments can be arranged on selected dates. In the clinic, it can sometimes be easier to get to the bottom of complex issues as it’s easier to build rapport, we can carry out a focused examination or bedside checks where appropriate, and help arrange further tests if needed.

How booking and payment work?

Booking an appointment places a request and provisionally holds the selected slot while we review clinician availability. We aim to confirm appointments within 1 working day.

Once confirmed, Prime Medicare will issue an invoice and payment link for the full amount. Payment is required within the timeframe stated on the invoice. Your appointment is confirmed once paid in full. If payment is not received at least 24 hours before the appointment time, the appointment may be cancelled and the slot released.

Revisions

We can correct factual errors or clarify wording after delivery. Revisions are limited to one round and must be requested within 5 working days of receiving the report. Revisions do not include adding new clinical information that was not discussed in the appointment.

Important note

These documents are clinical summaries and decision-support documents. They are not medicolegal reports. Medicolegal work is by enquiry and priced separately.
