Hajj and Umrah

Hajj and Umrah can be physically demanding and can amplify health risks due to heat, long walking distances, crowds, disrupted sleep, infection exposure, and changes to routine.

We support UK residents and visitors with Hajj health advice and Umrah health planning, including medication optimisation, risk assessment for long-term conditions, and practical safety planning before and during travel.

Hajj and Umrah appointment bundles

These are focused appointment bundles for people travelling for Hajj or Umrah.

Packages are delivered online by default. In-clinic delivery can be arranged by request where you would prefer an in-person assessment, or where examination or measurements may improve the quality and safety of care.

If you have multiple unrelated concerns to discuss, book a GP appointment instead.

What we commonly cover for Hajj

What we commonly cover for Umrah

Umrah is often shorter than Hajj, but can still involve long travel, heat exposure, physical exertion, and disrupted routine.

Travel vaccines, documentation, and medical letters

Where appropriate, we can advise on travel vaccine planning for your Hajj/Umrah trip and help you access private travel vaccinations through partners.

If clinically helpful, we can provide a cover letter stating relevant facts for the attention of a local pharmacist or doctor. Recognition varies by country and we cannot guarantee acceptance overseas.

If a simple travel letter is clinically appropriate, this is a simple admin document (£25) booked alongside an appointment.

If you would like a patient-tailored summary of your consultation and plan that you can keep and share, you can request a Consultation Summary Letter (+£40)

Support while you are abroad

Unlike many providers, our professional indemnity cover allows us to provide remote GP advice to UK residents while they are abroad. This means we can follow you up and offer further guidance during your journey where appropriate.

Travel insurance

This service does not replace travel insurance. You should ensure your insurance is suitable for your needs, including emergency care, repatriation, treatment costs, and declaration of pre-existing conditions.
